JA Dance Studio Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

Booking

Classes are booked as a block or term, payable in full before the start of term. Some online classes may be available on a “pay as you go basis” via the website.

Refunds and Cancellations

After booking a class JA Dance Studio is not under any obligation to refund or transfer your money, or roll over your class to a later term if you are unable to attend a class or classes, or the entire course. However, if there are customers on the waiting list able to take the place, a discretionary full or partial refund, less a £15 administration fee, may be possible.

If the teacher needs to self-isolate and is unable to teach in the studio classes will be moved online.

If the teacher is unable to teach due to illness students can make up missed classes at other classes or receive a credit code which can be used on any subsequent booking made on the website booking system.

Missed classes

“Catch up classes” for missed lessons can only be offered if there is space in another class and will be subject to availability.

Please note that catch up classes are NOT guaranteed and must be taken within the same block / course that you missed your class in. Missed classes cannot be rolled over to the following term / block nor can they be used in the holiday classes.

Class cancellation due to Government lockdown

If face to face studio classes are forced to be put on hold due to government restrictions (e.g: Covid-19/Lockdowns) your payment for classes will be held for you. You can either transfer to online classes (at the same rate) or wait until classes can be resumed back in the studio when restrictions are eased. JA Dance will not be obliged to refund you and is not able to provide a refund should you choose not to return to face to face classes.

Medical Conditions

The client is responsible for notifying JA Dance Studio of any existing medical conditions or injuries. Please ensure you have completed the Pre-exercise Screening Form) prior to taking your first class. You agree to inform JA Dance Studio of any medical or personal changes, including injury, surgery, or pregnancy by email as soon as you can. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Illness

Please consult your doctor and DO NOT attend your face to face class if you develop any known or suspected medical condition, (including symptoms of Covid-19). This information will be treated in strict confidence and with sensitivity. One you have received the all clear from your GP you may return to face to face classes. You may be able to attend the class if it is available online. JA Dance is not able to refund you any missed classes.

Covid 19

Should you or any member of your household show ANY symptoms of COVID-19 you MUST NOT attend class until you have a confirmed NEGATIVE PCR test (please follow the up to date Government Guidelines) unless you have had confirmation of a negative test result. Should you or any of your household have symptoms or if you have returned from a country that is on the government quarantine list, you must notify us in writing via Email immediately and refrain from attending class until we can confirm that it is ok to do so.

Symptoms include fever, fatigue, new, persistent dry cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea or vomiting. By booking onto a JA Dance Studio class you are agreeing to the statements below:

  • I understand that, because movement-based health practices may involve prolonged contact or even some close physical contact there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19.
  • I agree to hands on correction given by the instructor. I will email JA Dance Studio if I DO NOT wish to have hands on correction.
  • I agree to release JA Dance Studio from any and all claims of liability regarding exposure to or contraction of the COVID-19 virus.

 

 

Data Protection and GDPR

In order to book a class with Ja Dance Studio, you must register your details at the time of booking using the Pre-Exercise Screening Form. This information will include your name, phone number, email address, home address, emergency contact details, and any relevant conditions that could affect you whilst taking part in a class. This information is required to ensure that you are being offered a class that is safe and appropriate to your needs. If you are unable to complete this form online a hard copy is available to be submitted as soon after booking as possible.

This data will not be shared with any other third party other than those required to process your booking or where we are legally required to do so.

You can choose to unsubscribe to marketing emails at any time. Although this is the main way that JA Dance Studio communicates with clients, informing you of class changes and updates.

Your name will appear on class registers to help tailor classes to the individual needs of our customers.

 

Changes to T&C’s

From time to time we may update these terms and conditions and, in this instance, will notify existing customers who are currently booked onto our courses.
